About

At 108 Stitches, we don't just teach baseball; we cultivate the champions of tomorrow, instilling in them the belief that with dedication and resilience, anything is possible. Join us in shaping the future, one stitch at a time.

Our Story

Established in 2023 by brothers Danny and Alex Lopez, 108 Stitches Baseball is not just a non-profit organization: it's a beacon of hope for the youth of Chicago's West Side. Our mission is clear: to lead the charge in urban youth development by operating a premier baseball academy that not only hones athletic prowess but also shapes character and nurtures dreams.

With a combined 32 years of service to our country and community, Danny's tenure in the Chicago Police Department and Alex's decorated career in the United States Air Force lay the foundation of our commitment. Danny's collegiate baseball journey at Ashland University instilled in him the values of discipline and teamwork, qualities he now imparts to our aspiring athletes. Meanwhile, Alex's combat experience offers a unique perspective, guiding our youth with unwavering compassion and proven leadership.

Our Vision

At 108 Stitches, our vision extends beyond the baseball diamond. We envision a world where young individuals, armed with the lessons learned on the field, emerge as responsible, resilient, and confident leaders within their communities.
